We are located in a beautiful valley with the Sever River flowing through 8 hectares of untouched, raw nature in Portugal’s lush Serra de São Mamede National Park. We are located a 2.5h drive inland from Lisbon, close to the Spanish border and the medieval castle town of Marvão.

By Bus
If departing from Lisbon, there is a direct bus connection to Marvao area. Tickets can be booked in advance here.
The closest bus stop to Serra Vida is “Portagem” which is a 10 minute drive by taxi or in house pickup service. There are more frequent busses departing to “Portalegre”, which is a 30 minute drive.
By Train
Arriving by train you will have to book a ticket to the train station of Portalegre.
By Taxi
We can assist you by connecting you to our local taxi service. Who can either pick you up from Lisbon airport, one of the above mentioned bus stops or train station.
In case you are traveling in a group of more than 4 people a shuttle bus can be arranged, a service also provided by our Local Taxi service.
