Team

Daniel

Joy and lightness are the driving forces behind Daniel's life, be it in yoga, sound healing, or guiding people through breathwork into ice or heat.

He is Co-founder and full-time resident at the Serra Vida and his work includes elements from various practices; Tibetan joint loosening from Yantra yoga, Energy work with Tibetan Sound bowls and frequencies, Astanga-inspired Vinyasa yoga, active meditations by Osho & mindful observation of stillness and movement as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh;

Together with the use of sound in the form of your own voice, reciting mantras, the music he creates, or songs he selects, Daniel invites you to an inward journey beyond the stories of the mind.  He studied the Astanga and Hatha Yoga systems during a 200h-teacher training with Rishikul Yoga Shala from Rishikesh, India as well as an additional 300h advanced course with Delight Yoga, Amsterdam. During a longer stay in Nepal, he also received an education in sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls and is currently studying Zen Coaching techniques in Sweden to become a certified coach. The main purpose of his work is to share peace of mind and joy with people and pick them up where they are, with no need to fit into any form or image.

Shona

Shona, co-founder, and visionary of Serra Vida is a firm believer that we are all artists of this canvas called life, creating the contribution we alone can make.

She facilitates conscious dance journeys, tantric yoga classes, creative expression workshops, and immersive experiences that expand consciousness and open your senses. These practices are not only her personal medicine, but they also bring her closer to the life-artist within herself and she is very passionate about sharing this with others.

Her professional foundation was set during a 10-year career in the creative and production side of the fashion industry. She specialized in developing sprouts of inspiration into physical manifestations during my job as global production and collection manager for multinational fashion brands. Her love for nurturing ideas into reality has its roots here and still fuels her with life force.

Leon

As the third member of our residential team, Leon is responsible for all things technical on the land. He loves working with people, being close to animals and nature, and loves photography and music. In the last 15 years, he has worked in the entertainment industry as a light technician for corporate events, operating lights during concerts or supervising and operating club nights in various dance clubs in Frankfurt, Germany. He is excited to bring his skills to a new life with light installations in the forest, as for him it is very satisfying to consciously or subconsciously touch and move people with light installations and to create a magical and cozy environment with light to amaze customers or guests.

To balance his intense lifestyle of the night, he worked in a daycare for disabled children for many years, where another side of his passion and love for working with people developed. Coming to the Serra Vida he is excited to expand his love for people and nature and share this magical spot with others. Leon and Daniel have been friends since childhood and in this project realize a lifelong dream of working together in nature.

GUEST FACILITATORS

Lisanne

From a young age, she felt a longing for true wisdom. A modern mystic and all-round creative spirit. She is a maker of potions and lotions, magic chocolates, and a medicine music singer. All of these elements come together in guiding heartfelt sacred ceremonies and rituals with a dusting of magic, beauty and humor.

Her curiosity to learn more about life (and how to live it) took her to become a dedicated student and teacher of Yoga (650hr+ of training). Having the honor to learn from great teachers from all over the world. Finding roots in many different traditions. From there she came to explore Shamanic and Pagan teachings and practices. She is a humble student of the Sacred Earth Medicines. They have guided her to feel what it means to be fully alive. Embracing all the feels that life brings our way, the light and the dark, full spectrum. She will visit Lost Valley a few times a year to guide ceremonies, creative practices and share her music.

Together we will soften our senses on this beautiful land and experience true intimacy with life, with nature, and with others. Helping you to see the absolute wonder, mystery, and BEAUTY in all of it.
